3D modeling is divided into two areas: Organic and Hard Surface.
“Organic” is, conventionally, characters, trees and animals, and Hard Surface is everything that is made by human hands. Robots, guns, vehicles, armor, and so on. A stool, for example, won’t count as a Hard Surface – it’s too simple.
